WORKSHOP
What does the workshop cover?
We all want to feel motivated, valued and safe at work. And we need constructive feedback to help us grow. This tension between looking after our colleagues’ wellbeing and delivering tough messages is a key area to navigate as we progress our career. Many of us struggle to share feedback effectively. We’re either too indirect so our colleagues don’t realise we’re giving feedback, or we’re too blunt which makes them feel threatened and defensive. Both approaches can damage working relationships and leave our colleagues feeling stressed, confused and demotivated. This interactive and practical workshop is an opportunity to explore how approaching feedback in an empathetic, brain-friendly way prioritises development and creates a safe environment where colleagues are both challenged and supported.
Who is it for?
This workshop is for lawyers and business professionals who manage others and want to improve their feedback skills and enhance team performance.
What will I get out of it?
By participating in this workshop, you will:
- Understand how the human brain responds to feedback and the impact of delivering it without considering psychological safety.
- Appreciate how to deliver feedback that gets your message across clearly and keeps colleagues motivated and keen to develop.
- Leave with a simple framework that’s effective for both delivering quick, ongoing feedback and handling more in-depth performance discussions.
